Brian Rood
Brian Rood is a professional illustrator known for his photo-realistic watercolor and mixed media paintings inspired by the Star Wars saga. For nearly two decades, much of his work has centered on this well-known universe, where he has developed a detailed and cinematic approach to character and scene illustration.
His artwork for Star Wars has appeared in fine art reproductions, illustrated storybooks for Lucasfilm and Disney Publishing, and a special anniversary edition of Time Magazine. Over the past several years, he has created more than 1,000 illustrations for an extensive retelling of the Star Wars trilogies. His paintings have also been commissioned by major licensors and incorporated into official style guides, reflecting a close working relationship with the franchise.
In addition to his publishing work, Brian’s paintings, canvas wall art, and framed art have been featured throughout Disney Parks and related venues. His original artwork is held in private collections worldwide.
