About the Image
The account of the lives of Jesus and his Apostles is profoundly moving. It tells us Jesus came to this world to establish a church in preparation for his second coming and to redeem mankind from sin through God’s grace. He understood his destiny and knew that on his walked path he would experience betrayal by one he loved and trusted. He was the ‘Lamb of God’ and felt no despair for his part in his father’s divine plan. Yet, Christ’s humanity gave him pause, a sense of reflective sadness for Judas and all those who would scourge him in face of his unconditional love. In Prayer for my Father, I attempt to capture that moment of human emotion as Jesus prepares to fulfill his ordained sacred sacrifice. I humbly hope my work provides the sense of Jesus as both the divine savior and as mortal man and touches you on your own path in faith. Blessings and thank you for sharing my adventures in art.
