The Artist
Monte Moore
Monte Moore, who earned his BFA from Colorado State University in 1993, has pursued his artistic vision through diverse media including acrylics, pencils, oils, and airbrush, while studying with Master Teacher Frank Covino for 20 years and learning from wildlife art masters such as John Seerey-Lester and Carl Brenders. In his 25-year career as a pop-culture artist, he has won numerous awards including twice winning the World Fantasy Art Show, with his work appearing in major publications like Time and Newsweek, and creating advertising for companies including Pentax, Harley-Davidson, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Though best known for his pop-culture work with Lucasfilm, DC Comics, and Marvel Entertainment, Moore maintains a passion for Western and Fine Art inspired by his upbringing on his family's century-old Idaho cattle ranch, where he spent his youth working with horses, mending fences, and experiencing ranch life firsthand.
