Rosemary Millette

Rosemary Millette

Celebrated wildlife artist Rosemary Millette is known for her ability to realistically portray animals while capturing their spirit. She began painting at age five, inspired by hometown hero David Maass and other Midwest artists who founded modern wildlife art. After formal training in commercial art and seven years as a graphic designer, she developed a style that goes beyond photo-realism by using light, color, composition, and perspective to reveal each animal's essence. Her husband Dave, an avid hunter with extensive habitat knowledge, partners in her work, while their son Tony shows interest in the family business; together they travel extensively for photography and nature observation. Millette has collaborated with numerous conservation groups including Pheasants Forever and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, has been featured at wildlife art shows, has won multiple awards, and has had her work chosen for over a dozen state conservation stamps.
